COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. — A teenager died in a crash in South Carolina Tuesday night, according to Colleton County Fire-Rescue.
Fire-Rescue crews said they responded just after 6 a.m. to White Hall Road in Colleton County.
According to officials, a 15-year-old boy was driving a Honda when it veered off the shoulder and he overcorrected.
The car slid sideways into the northbound lane, where a northbound Dodge truck hit its passenger side, rescuers said.
Both vehicles went off the northbound shoulder and crashed into a large pine tree.
The Honda’s teen driver was trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene.
The two men in the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
