Miller Moss receives high praise after incredible USC football bowl performance

The USC football team ended the season on a high note last week in the Holiday Bowl against Louisville. The Trojans had a disappointing season as they finished 7-5, but the future looks bright after the performance of quarterback Miller Moss on Wednesday. He led USC to a big win over the #15 team in the country, and he threw six touchdown passes in the process. USC head coach Lincoln Riley was impressed.

“He was awesome,” Lincoln Riley said, according to an article from On3. “It’s a performance game. I’ve said previously and our local guys know this. It’s really, really important to me the longer I coach and going through this – I don’t know it all. But having people in this program is incredibly important. That’s the key. I think in this day and age with all the movement? When you have guys like that, it’s even more of an advantage than maybe it was five or ten years ago because it has become a little bit harder to find. Miller has had a passion for this university and program for a long time. You’ve seen that in his ability to hang in there, to continue to get better. Part of the reason I think he played well tonight is the consistency that he has brought. He could have bolted off at different times. He has stayed here and he has gotten better. That’s why a night like tonight happened.”

Many people thought that USC football would hit the transfer portal for a QB in the offseason, but after Miller Moss did that, that might not happen.

“He did a great job,” Riley said. “Shoot, he may have scared off anybody that wanted to come here anyway.”

This season didn’t go the way that USC fans were hoping, but it was good to see the team go out with a win.
