USC football lands top 2026 quarterback

It’s been awhile since the USC football team got some good recruiting news, but the Trojans got some on Tuesday. It wasn’t 2024 recruiting news, and it wasn’t 2025, but 2026! It is still very early, but the top quarterback and top player in the 2026 class is headed to USC! Julian Lewis announced that will be coming to LA to play for Lincoln Riley and USC football.

USC is becoming QBU with the recent QB play and recruiting at the position. Caleb Williams won the Heisman last season and the Trojans also have the top player and QB in the 2023 class Malachi Nelson on the squad now. The best QBs in the country want to be coached by Lincoln Riley.

Riley has an extremely impressive resume when it comes to QBs that he has developed. Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Caleb Williams and more. Recruits are seeing that he is pumping out Heisman winners and NFL Draft picks at the position, and they want to be his next star.

Snagging Julian Lewis is an incredible start to the 2026 class. There likely won’t be more news for that class for awhile, but it’s good to see that it’s starting strong. Lewis will be coming to USC from Carrollton, GA and he picked the Trojans over Georgia, Alabama, and many other top programs. Being the best player in the class, Lewis could go wherever he wanted, and he knew that USC was the best choice for him.
