The USC Trojans basketball recruiting class was already stacked, but it just keeps getting better. Four-star power forward Brandon Gardner has just announced his commitment, and he is coming to Southern California to play for the Trojans as a member of the 2023 recruiting class.

USC Trojans basketball recruiting lands four-star power forward

The USC basketball 2023 recruiting class now ranks #3 in the country according to 247 Sports, behind only Kentucky and Duke. The hype around the program continues to grow as we slowly get closer to the start of the college basketball season.

Brandon Gardner will be coming to LA from Middle Village, New York, where he attended high school at Christ The King Regional.

Gardner was originally committed to St. John’s and was going to stay in his home state, but he recently decommitted and took an official visit with the Trojans. His commitment to USC basketball came just two days after the visit.

St. John’s wasn’t the only school going after Gardner. He had an impressive offer list that included Kansas, Auburn, Alabama, Illinois, Maryland, and more.

The Trojans’ 2023 class now features five-star Bronny James, the number one player in the entire 2023 class, Isaiah Collier, a four-star recruit Arrinten Page, and now Gardner. The hype around the program is at an all-time high, and USC is expected to take a big leap next year with these incoming freshmen. Kudos to Andy Enfield and the entire staff for this incredible class.

We still have five full months and the majority of the college football regular season before we see the new-look  USC basketball team, but man, is it going to be exciting.
