USC basketball recruiting will have a big chance to get the 2024 class off to a hot start with five-star SF Naas Cunningham coming to visit in August. The Trojans do not have any commitments in the 2024 class so far, and landing Cunningham would build a lot of early momentum.

USC Basketball Recruiting to Host Naas Cunningham

Cunningham currently has a unique recruitment situation. Back in February, he announced his top five schools: Memphis, Rutgers, Duke, UCLA, and Kansas. USC did make the cut.

“All schools in my top five are in play for me to commit,” Cunningham said, according to @hitmenscouts on Twitter.

However, in his top five graphic, Cunningham did include USC and Providence as “interests,” so the Trojans do have a chance and need to take advantage of having Cunningham on campus for a visit.

Cunningham is already close to campus as he currently attends Southern California Academy in Castaic, CA, which is about an hour away from the USC campus. Cunningham is ranked as the #28 player in the 2024 class, the #12 SF, and the #4 player in California, according to 247 Sports.

The 2023 USC basketball recruiting class is a special one, and the Trojans have a lot of tools to be successful this upcoming season. Being able to showcase talented recruits who can immediately contribute on the court will be crucial in attracting top recruits from future classes. There’s still a long way to go before the 2024 class takes shape, but all Trojan fans are hoping for a repeat of the 2023 cycle.
